  • We are coaches who specialize in a personalized strengths-based approach to assist individuals, including students, adults, caregivers, and employees, in achieving their goals. Our focus is on developing and enhancing executive function skills through education, goal setting, and tailored tools and strategies. It's important to note that we do not provide therapy services. However, if you are seeking therapeutic support, we can offer resources to help you find a suitable therapist in your area.

  • We are very flexible! We will do our best to work around your schedule, and we try to provide extra sessions when you need them. Our remote team has coaches in time zones across the United States to expand when we’re able to work with clients.

  • We can make a recommendation after we have our initial consultation, but often clients start with one session per week. This allows time between sessions to try new strategies and discuss what’s effective.

  • We use individualized, skills-based coaching to meet each client’s needs. Everyone learns differently, so we tailor our coaching based on each individual’s needs and goals. This includes coaching approaches, supports, hours per week, and flexible scheduling.

  • The How Skills currently offers online coaching anywhere over Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, and other online platforms.

  • Online coaching offers ultimate convenience. You can easily meet with your coach over Zoom, Meet, or Teams. All coaches have access to online whiteboards, screen sharing, and other resources that allow clients to get the benefits of coaching from wherever they are.

  • The How Skills’ coaches are available throughout the year. We meet with clients on weekdays, during the day and early evening. Our coaches work in multiple time zones across the United States.

  • At this time, we do not accept medical insurance. However, The How Skills is committed to offering equitable access to our coaching services. Inquire with us about financial aid options or to your employer about professional development or educational stipends. You can also speak with your FSA/HSA provider about possible coverage. If you work for yourself, coaching can sometimes be tax-deductible if used for professional development related to work matters. Inquire with your accountant for more information. Another potential avenue for financing coaching services for students is by utilizing a 529 plan. Please contact your 529 providers for more information.
