Student Executive Function Skills: Unleash Your Potential

Is your student experiencing these executive function challenges?

  • Overwhelmed in transitioning to middle school, high school, or college

  • Under-developed leadership skills

  • Constantly missing due dates

  • Appearing “lazy”, “scattered” or “unmotivated”

  • Difficulty picking up on social cues

  • Having trouble focusing in class

  • Need better study skills or just “don’t get it”

  • Getting “stuck” or giving up easily

  • Feeling stress or anxiety around test-taking

  • Not knowing when to ask for help

We use research-based, customized one-on-one coaching methods to help adolescents and young adults develop academic, social, and life skills. These are the skills that help them focus, practice discipline, and remain resilient when they experience setbacks — so they can manage real-life situations with more confidence and independence.

Our coaches are expert educators with Master- and PhD-level training. As subject matter experts in executive function, study habits, and organizational techniques, they will recommend tailored tools and strategies to set students up for life-long academic and personal success. We work with students who do not identify as neurodiverse, as well as students with ADHD, autism, mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or who face unique challenges from a medical condition. We never want to change who students are, just help them learn the skills to be their most successful selves!

These skills include effective study techniques, note-taking, attention, mindful decision-making, strong organization, flexible thinking, thoughtful planning, time management, and more. We teach executive function skills such as:

  • Stress management techniques

  • Goal planning

  • Minimizing distractions

  • Managing chores & household responsibilities

  • Creating a study plan

  • Setting up a study or workspace

  • How to use a planner

  • Communicating effectively with teachers and peers

  • Note-taking strategies

We also provide parent and guardian support through one-on-one meetings and resources on how to best support your student at home.
